Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.
The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Content
This update also adds the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature techniques: Naoe debuts a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
