Netflix Selects Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3

Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t take place until the next season, and a adored, popular member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action series, unlike the source material and cartoon version.

This performer will work alongside multiple new cast members tasked with bringing the group to life, such as chief Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who also joins the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.

Though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With the second season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this marks a notable change in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is set to return for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
