Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, desires vengeance.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party reach places they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
What’s Next?
According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Questers and Strategists parties.
Fans can look forward to learning which players will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
