Vince Zampella, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in the state of California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure died after his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
